Standards
Editorial Policy
LouieCorp publishes independent journalism. Editors, not sponsors, decide what appears under the masthead.
News and opinion
News and analysis are reported and edited to establish what can be verified. Opinion is labelled and published in the writer’s name. The two are not mixed in a way that disguises argument as fact.
Sources
Named sources are preferred. Anonymous sourcing is used only when the information is important, the source is in a position to know, and naming the person would impose a genuine risk. Editors must know the identity of unnamed sources.
Corrections
Errors of fact are corrected promptly and visibly. See the corrections policy.
Conflicts
Staff and contributors disclose relevant interests. LouieCorp does not sell news coverage.
